Boris is a miniature white Galloway bull bred in Temuka from Willowbank lines.
Boris is 94cm (or 37 inches) at the hip at two years of age (the threshold for a miniature at the same age is 41 inches or 104cm).
He is dominant white so will throw well marked calves to solid Galloways or pointed calves to other breeds. Using Boris over a well marked Galloway you will have a 50% chance of a well marked calf, and a 50% chance of an undermarked calf.
This year we got well marked black point calves out of both red and black Highlands and a dun point calf out of a white Highland.
Boris has passed all of the screening tests for commercial collection and is chondro positive (BD1), so there is a 50% chance he will throw a chondro positive calf with a non carrier.
It is not recommended to use a chondro positive bull with a chondro positive cow as there is a 25% chance of a bulldog calf.
Straws are stored at ABS near Hamilton, price doesn't include transfer fee, liquid nitrogen, tank hire, freight or inward goods fee at the other end.
