Storth Oaks Ladies' Lunch
In May 2024 we organised the inaugural Storth Oaks Ladies' Lunch.
Kelly and Tim Brittain of Storth Oaks breed premium Angus cattle in the Paewhenua district and Kelly offered their purpose built bull sale facility for the fundraiser.
The venue came complete with tables and chairs, crockery, glassware, a bar, a sound system - you name it, Storth Oaks provided it. The event would not have happened if it wasn't for the generous support of the Brittains - we are so lucky to have people like them in our community.
As a community we raised over $10,000 for our small local school - which we consider to be a success and means we might have to do it again in 2025!
Guest Speaker Rosie Overcomer
Rosie is one of the stars of the recently released documentary series Escaping Utopia (you can watch it on TVNZ+).
Rosie was our guest speaker and despite having 80+ pairs of eyes on her wanting to hear her story, she was poised and gracious.
Rosie is taking bookings for guest speaking gigs.
